FAQ: HALLOWEEN EVENT

Q: When and where will the event take place?
A: The event will take place on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th October from 10:00am – 2:00pm at Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown. Please check in for your trick-or-treat session at the customer service booth outside Kmart. Once checked-in you will receive a wristband, showbag and a map outlining all of the activities throughout the Centre and the stores participating in the tick-or-treat tour.

Q: When are the session times?
A: The event sessions will run every 30 minutes, starting at 10:00am with the final session at 1:30pm. Please arrive 10 minutes early to your session and have your tickets ready to show the check-in staff.

Q: How many kids can attend each session?
A: Each session has a capacity for 65 kids. We have limited spots available per session to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Q: What activities will be offered during the event?
A: The Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown Two-Day Halloween Event will feature a range of exciting activities such as:
🍭Trick or treating: Kids can collect treats from participating stores within the shopping centre.
👻Face Painting: Professional face painters will be located on Level 4 outside Best and Less and Level 2 outside the library.
🎈Balloon Twisters: Balloon artists will be located on Level 4 outside Best and Less and Level 2 near Woolworths.
🍩Doughnut Decorating: Decorate a spooky Walker’s Doughnut outside Kmart in the Halloween Gazebo. Please note there are limited spots available.

Q: How long is each session?
A: As the trick-or-treat tours are self-guided there is no time limit, to how long you may take to visit all the participating stores and join in on the other activities.

Q: Do parents/guardians need to accompany their children?
A: Yes, it is recommended for parents/guardians to accompany their children throughout the event. This ensures the safety and supervision of all participants.

Q: Is there an age restriction for the event?
A: The Halloween event is open to children of all ages.

Q. Where do I start the trick-or-treat tour?
A: Once you have checked in you are welcome to start anywhere at one of our participating stores inside Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown. Participants usually start at the closest participating store and move through Level 4 to 2.

Q: Does it cost to attend the event?
A: Yes, the event is $5 per ticket. Tickets may be purchased from the Sunnybank Hills Shoppingtown website.

Q: Are costumes required for the event?
A: While costumes are not mandatory, we encourage all children to come dressed in their favourite Halloween attire to fully embrace the festive spirit.

Q: Do I need to bring a bag/bucket to collect lollies?
A: You are more than welcome to bring a bag/bucket if you like. However, we will be handing out showbags that can be used to collect lollies.

Q: Is photography allowed during the event?
A: Photography for personal use is allowed during the event. However, we kindly ask that you respect the privacy and consent of other attendees. Official event photographers will also be present to capture highlights of the event.

Q. Does any of the candy contain nuts?

A: We have asked all participating stores to ensure none of their candy contains nuts due to allergen reasons however we cannot guarantee there will be no nuts present. We recommend that if your child has any allergies, please check their candy before consuming. Alternatively, please check the list here for all ingredients present in the candy provided from the characters behind the hidden doors. Allergen List coming soon
